The Advan V35 from Yokohama has been selected as the original equipment (OE) for Porsche’s latest model of the Cayenne premium SUV, available globally. The tire specifications include 285/40R22 110V for the front and 315/35R22 111V for the rear. The Cayenne SUVs will also feature the Advan Sport V107 ultra-high-performance tires.
The Advan V35 is an ultra-high-performance tire designed to ensure a secure driving experience across diverse road conditions, ranging from dry to wet or snowy surfaces. The tire is marked with ‘M+S (mud & snow)’ on its sidewall, signifying its capability to perform in various weather conditions, and contributes to improved fuel efficiency, superior drivability, and safety, the tire maker says.Developed in collaboration with Porsche, the tread pattern of the tire has been finely tuned to enhance snow performance while maintaining optimal rolling resistance — two characteristics that are challenging to achieve simultaneously. The “NC0” mark on each tire indicates Porsche’s approval.
Through its three-year medium-term management plan, Yokohama Transformation 2023 (YX2023), Yokohama aims to maximize the Advan brand and the Geolandar brand, which caters to SUVs and pickups, as well as a range of winter tires.
It’s important to note that while the Advan V35 tire has been designed for driving in shallow snow, it is not intended for use as a winter tire. For driving in snowy or icy conditions, Yokohama recommends replacing these tires with studless or other designated winter tires.
