APPLICATION
- STRUKTOL® Activator73A a formulation of selected zinc salts, are very effective activators for the sulfur vulcanization of diene rubber, especially natural rubber.
- STRUKTOL® Activator 73A can partly or totally replace conventional activators based on fatty acids, e.g., stearic acid, zinc stearate, and zinc 2-ethylhexanoate.
- The following improvements are achievable by application of STRUKTOL® Activator 73A less heat buildup under dynamic load, and reduced compression set at elevated temperatures, improved properties at high temperature cures, viscosity reduction at high shear.
- STRUKTOL® Activator 73A can be used as an effective physical peptizer for the mastication of natural rubber. It improves processability in mixing, extrusion and molding.
