A new 26X11N14 Tweel UTV tire has been released by Michelin to cater to the heavier carrying capacities of landscaping, construction and rental vehicles.

Now 2.8in wider, the 26X11N14 Tweel UTV tire has a carrying capacity of 600kg per tire – 85% more than the previously released 26X9N14 size model – enabling a higher load capacity for UTVs. The Tweel’s speed rating of 100km/h is the same as the current 26X9N14 model. The tire maker’s latest model is available in five different bolt patterns to enable fitment to a wide range of UTVs.

While offering the same performance levels as conventional pneumatic tires, the Tweel UTV airless radial tire has been developed to replace the entire wheel and tire assembly. This means no mounting equipment is needed, and there is no vehicle downtime due to punctures.

“This new line of Tweels expands our coverage even more for the construction, landscaping and rental fleet markets,” said Tony Marconi, business director for Michelin Tweel Technologies. “The success of the Tweel product line has been amazing, and we know this latest offering will continue to help our customers become even more productive and manage their operating costs with even more efficiency.

“This new size is needed for many current UTVs in service today,” added Marconi. “This gives us more side-by-side market coverage and can carry the heavy loads to do the type of work they are intended to do.”
